In preparation for the European trip, each of the delegates were required to participate in learning visits for a deeper understanding of the local community situation. They also underwent orientations on European culture, protocols and safety and team building activities to foster team work and camaraderie among members.
On April 13, 2012, the delegates will leave Cebu for Amsterdam via Singapore. The delegates will be exposed to the European (Dutch and Belgian) society and system through learning visits, volunteer work and immersion in relevant organizations, programs and projects under the following thematic areas: · Urban development, migration and planning
· Citizenship and social advocacy
· Culture and heritage
· Education Upon the delegates' return, they are expected to develop and implement projects in line with their learning from their three-week immersion. They also have to share to 150 people (per delegate) their learning from the trip.
