The 9th day is a lazy day. I have time to upload pictures. Our commitment or activity will still be at three in the afternoon.
The activity for the afternoon is called lowland games. There are series of activities and challenges we must accomplish.
There is an Archery game, a large scale labyrinth which is difficult to maneuver because of its weight, a wheel barrow challenge, in which I am blindfolded while maneuvering a wheel barrow with little Saira on it giving me directions on where to go, the tripod-thingy that we bring to the other side to shoot the ball into the basket, a rotating ladder which seems impossible to accomplish if Saira, Janica and I didn't have teamwork and cooperation and 'cross the river game with wooden planks of different sizes that must all be utilized to cross from one point to another'. I don't know how all those games are officially called in English as they are all in Dutch. Hahaha.

The 'cross-the-river' game. I don't know how it's officially called in English since the games were written in Dutch. Hahaha |
Saira, I, Janica and our facilitator. We completed our first tasks. The cross-the-river-thingy. Yay! |
The Wheel-barrow challenge |
The tripod-thingy game. Hahaha. We have to bring the tripod from one end to the other and shoot the ball hanging on it into the blue basket. |
It's not really part of the challenge but it's still fun to play Human Size Football table. Above is Russel and Martin defending their team. |
Sean plays goal keeper for the blue team. The red team wins this game, though. |
The large scale Labyrinth game. It's pretty heavy. |
Me, Saira and Janica completing our tasks. We each get a free drink or snack. |
Aside from the games, we also enjoy listening to the band. The first song they play was one of the songs I like 'Come Together'.
We end the activity at 5:30. But we have a pleasant surprise when we arrive home. The Weydts family prepares waffles for us and takes notes of the recipe for waffles so we can cook them at home in the Philippines.

Me spinning the waffle maker. Hahaha. We don't have one in our house, but I'll probably get one soon. |
Belgian waffles will always be the best waffles in the world. This Belgian waffles is exclusively a recipe of the Weydts. |
On that night, Tristan, our host brother had to leave for Leuven. He won't be seeing us off on Wednesday, our last day in Belgium. So he had to say goodbye soon. |
The Weydts family and I. Our only complete family picture (without J.Lo, though) This is taken before Tristan leaves for Leuven. |

After dinner, we are expecting Anne, a fellow MYX delegate of Justien, Julla and Janica and their host sister Margaux. We have an all-girls-night-in with cola, chips and waffles. We play truth or dare. Secrets are revealed that night and insane dares are done in that night full of laughter and craziness.
